Francis is a digital transformation specialist.

He leads engagements with large and complex organisations, helping them to become more effective at delivering services and responding to their users’ needs. He has extensive experience of building digital, data and technology teams and leading organisational change, particularly in non-profit organisations.

At Public Digital, Francis has worked with clients including Unicef UK, the Open University, the University of Exeter, the UK Space Agency, the International Monetary Fund and the Home Office.

For the Home Office, Francis developed new approaches to sustainably funding and governing services, so that they can be effectively managed and improved outside of change programmes. He coached senior leaders on adopting service-orientated ways of working, helping them to collaborate more effectively around achieving service outcomes and user needs.

Prior to joining Public Digital, Francis led the digital transformation at the charity Samaritans, where he built digital capability and practices and developed high-profile services, including support services for people struggling to cope. He introduced significant change by working collaboratively and in the open with thousands of volunteers across 200 branches in the UK and ROI.

Earlier in his career he led digital, data and technology teams in several non-profits, including the Royal Society, the UK’s science academy. Francis has an MBA from Cranfield University.
