Digital strategy
We help organisations set a digital strategy which translates into tangible delivery.
To support its mission to help people secure a life of possibilities, Phoenix Group wanted to adopt the mindset, culture and ways of working of the internet era.
Phoenix Group is a FTSE 100 company and the UK’s largest long-term savings and retirement firm. It manages over £250 billion of assets under administration for 12 million people. With a history stretching back 240 years, its brands include Standard Life, SunLife, Phoenix Wealth and Reassure.
Working across multiple brands and companies, the digital team was trying to establish ways of working that were more agile and customer centred.
The organisation was struggling to create a digital strategy and approach that was collectively owned across the executive team and delivering value with the level of pace and momentum needed.
Public Digital worked with the Group’s leadership to develop a shared vision for transformation, and with digital teams to build confidence and capability.
We began by assessing Phoenix Group’s digital maturity to help them understand the challenges, blockers and opportunities for change, producing a roadmap to start their journey.
Using our insights as a springboard, we then worked with executives and senior leaders to develop a single digital strategy that is customer-led and enables Phoenix to deliver its ambitious targets.
This was a collaborative effort, in which we helped Phoenix establish a new team and executive committee in order to increase the pace and quality of delivery.
We designed and delivered a curriculum of 20 bespoke masterclasses reaching over 600 people.
We assessed Phoenix Group’s digital maturity to help them understand the challenges, blockers and opportunities for change, producing a roadmap to start their journey.
We also created a set of toolkits for disciplines such as user research, content design, prototyping and experiments to be used by new multidisciplinary teams.
We introduced and embedded working in the open, creating new “Show and Shares” and a blog to which teams across the business could contribute in order to share successes and learnings.
