As a Consultant, you’ll be close to the work - designing, delivering, and learning every day. You’ll work in small, multidisciplinary teams alongside experienced colleagues, contributing directly to the success of client projects. Our consultants:

As a Principal Consultant, you’ll balance being hands-on with leading the direction of work. You’ll be trusted to run client engagements, coach others, and bring your judgement to complex problems. Our Principal Consultants:
Lead smaller engagements with clients and shape project direction.
Build strong relationships with clients, helping them make good decisions and navigate uncertainty.
Coach Consultants and share your experience.
Bring strategic thinking, not just delivery skills. For example, knowing when to challenge, when to adapt, and how to focus on impact.
Principals are often the bridge between delivery and strategy, able to translate ideas into action.
As a Director, you’ll play a key role in shaping thinking and practice both within PD and with our clients. You’ll provide thought leadership on complex programmes, mentor and grow others across teams, and build trusted relationships with senior clients. Our Directors:
Lead multiple projects or large engagements, ensuring quality, impact and team wellbeing, while also contributing to the long-term sustainability and growth of our work.
Build and sustain relationships with senior stakeholders and client sponsors.
Mentor and develop Principals and Consultants, helping them to stretch and succeed.
Contribute to shaping PD’s strategy, culture, and ways of working.
Directors bring maturity, empathy and strategic foresight. Our Directors help clients and teams make meaningful change happen.
Senior Directors play a key role in PD’s leadership. They help shape our long-term direction as a consulting business, deepening our expertise and strengthening our impact. Our Senior Directors:
Oversee larger portfolios of work across multiple clients or sectors.
Build lasting relationships at the most senior levels of client organisations.
Represent PD publicly, including in the media, sharing our thinking and helping to influence change beyond our projects.
Lead initiatives that strengthen our capability, culture and future growth.
Generate new business, through maximising opportunities with existing clients and proactive identification of new work.
Our Senior Directors are expected to be excellent people managers and adept at getting the best from their teams, leading in a way that builds confidence in others.
Partners hold shared responsibility for PD’s future. They lead our strategic direction, growth and culture, ensuring we stay true to our values as we scale.
Partners work closely with the wider leadership team to shape our business priorities and continue building a company that is purposeful, sustainable and people-centred.
Our Business Partnering teams are composed of experts in Finance, People, Marketing, Business Development and Operations. As PD’s strategic advisers, they drive our collective success by leveraging deep, functional expertise to shape decision-making, optimise growth and future-proof the business, thereby empowering our consultants to focus on clients.
People Team
The People Team attracts, develops and retains talent, managing recruitment, resourcing, onboarding, learning, performance and wellbeing.
Business Support
Business Support provides essential operational and administrative assistance, managing systems, tools and processes for efficient team operations.
Business Development
The Business Development team drives Public Digital's pipeline of work, managing tender processes and negotiating contracts; ensuring project profitability, and exploring and identifying new business opportunities. .
Communications and Marketing
The Communications and Marketing team amplifies Public Digital's brand, promotes our business offers to key markets, produces events, shares insights, and connects with media, political stakeholders, clients and partners.
Finance
The Finance team manages financial resources, handling planning, reporting and compliance to underpin strategic decisions.
