Robin is a Consultant at Public Digital, and an expert in strategy, policy and transformation in the public sector.

Drawing on diverse experience delivering major transformation projects across UK central government, Robin provides critical support to senior leadership teams throughout their transformation journeys: helping them to articulate goals, provide clarity to teams and partners on how to deliver those goals, and build the trusted relationships and feedback loops essential for maintaining focus and organisational resilience. At the heart of Robin’s work is a commitment to building public services that users can trust and rely on.

At Public Digital, Robin supports our work on Test, Learn and Grow with the UK Cabinet Office, which is working to empower services across the public sector to take more outcome-focused, iterative approaches to the services they provide to people in the UK. Robin is supporting the client to scale this test and learn approach by identifying and addressing common barriers that services encounter when attempting to work in this way.

Prior to joining Public Digital, Robin served as Private Secretary to the Permanent Secretary in the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT), advising senior leaders on digital strategy and tech policy. At DSIT he also led strategy projects to develop the UK’s cross-government “blueprint” for modern digital public services, and to set up the UK’s new regulatory regime for social media companies to prevent online harms.

Robin’s experience also lies in delivering transformation in major delivery departments such as the Ministry of Justice - where he worked on resourcing of the department’s major change programmes, including those for prisons, probation and reducing reoffending - and the Department for Work and Pensions, where he was involved in the transformation of the service allowing people to claim their UK State Pension from overseas.
