Onyeka is a Principal Consultant who supports global governments and development organisations with decision-making around digital, data and innovation.

Her expertise lies in strategy and stakeholder engagement, having collaborated with an international slate of public servants and development organisations. Onyeka broadens stakeholders’ understanding of digital, introducing creative and innovative strategies to solve common challenges in delivering inclusive services for communities.

Onyeka has supported our work - in partnership with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation - building the digital capabilities of civil and public servants within the Edo State Government, Nigeria. She was responsible for strategic programme and stakeholder management, and managing the outputs of the project. Her work has also supported the creation of a new Digital and Data Agency in Edo State that will champion and sustain its digital transformation.

Working in partnership with UNDP in Ukraine and the Embassy of Sweden in Ukraine, Onyeka co-designed and delivered a study tour for the women leading digital transformation across Ukraine. The study tour formed part of the UNDP project to promote gender equality in Ukraine and was designed to empower women working in the field of digitalisation, policy design, and reengineering public services.

Onyeka also co-led our International Show the Thing series in 2023, funded by the Rockefeller Foundation.

Prior to joining Public Digital, Onyeka worked as the Strategic Engagement Manager at the London Office of Technology and Innovation, designing and delivering a variety of projects to improve digital capabilities in London’s local government. She was also one of seven inaugural No.10 Innovation Fellows, where she was appointed as a Deputy Director into the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office to improve their use of geospatial data and emerging technologies to address humanitarian crises.

Onyeka is a passionate diversity and inclusion advocate. She is an Ambassador for Code First Girls, Big Sister for The Step Up Sorority, Bursary Recipient from the Chartered Institute of IT and Coding Black Females, and a Non-Executive Director for Society Works.
