Lara is a Digital Transformation Consultant at Public Digital.

She supports governments and other purpose-led organisations to build digital capability, improve the delivery of public services, and secure better outcomes for citizens.

Lara has expertise in government policy, strategy and digital and tech advisory. Having previously worked as a Private Secretary at the Department for Science, Innovation, and Technology, Lara has significant expertise in advising senior officials on complex digital and tech policy issues, including AI policy, technology investment and digital markets regulation.

As a Policy Adviser at the Centre for Data Ethics and Innovation, Lara managed high-impact projects on regulatory frameworks for self-driving vehicles and helped to develop the UK Government’s Algorithmic Transparency Reporting Standard. While at the Office for Students, she helped the organisation deliver a review of technology in higher education and develop student-centred outcome measures and strategy for 2022-25.

Lara supports our engagement with the Home Office, helping them transition towards enduring services as an alternative to programme delivery. She has supported the development of the department’s transformation strategy and partnered with product teams to trial product- and service-centred ways of working.
