Lauren McIlwraith

Lauren is Public Digital’s Financial Controller (maternity cover), responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all financial reporting.

She supports the business and its management team with financial planning, analysis, international controllership, and taxation. At the same time, Lauren works to continuously improve processes and controls to make financial operations more efficient and reliable, and enable the business to transform financial data into meaningful insights.

An ACCA-qualified professional, Lauren's expertise lies in interpreting the numbers, ensuring accuracy, and driving efficiency. She gained her foundational experience through training in audit and deals at a Big-4 firm across both the US and UK.

For the last four years, she has specialised in early-stage startups, often serving as the first finance hire with full ownership of the finance function and other internal operations.
