Gem Atkinson

Gem is Public Digital's People Coordinator, playing a central role within the People team supporting our resourcing, HR and contractor management.

Gem is responsible for managing day-to-day people administration, working closely with the wider team to ensure that Public Digital’s systems and processes, such as the contractor network and resourcing plans, enable everyone to do their best work.

With extensive experience in high-pressure newsrooms and photographic agencies, Gem is an adaptable and collaborative communicator, bringing expertise in building talent pipelines, learning and development, managing complex logistics, and building inclusive environments.

Outside of work, Gem is a passionate grassroots football coach and also enjoys landscape photography, whilst exploring the UK in her camper van.
