David Blamire-Brown

Head of Client Development (Commercial)

David is our Head of Client Development in the Commercial Sector, dedicated to helping organisations unlock the full potential of working with Public Digital to radically transform for an uncertain future.

As a strategic commercial leader, David’s expertise lies in shaping and converting high-value opportunities that bridge the gap between ambitious strategy and tangible delivery - overcoming the friction of politics, procurement and organisational complexity. David is passionate about the social impact of this work, recognising that the success or failure of organisations in pressurised contexts fundamentally shapes the lives of the public they serve. He is a strong advocate for fixing broken public sector procurement and redefining what it truly means to be agile in leadership.

At Public Digital, David is responsible for originating and leading complex enterprise opportunities, taking a consultative, cross-discipline approach that involves partnering with senior consultants to blend commercial rigor with deep domain expertise. He provides end-to-end support across business development, project management, team ways of working, and coaching,

David brings over 25 years of experience leading teams to build software and technology solutions to solve a wide variety of problems. Before joining Public Digital, he led business development for the UK Public Sector at Thoughtworks. During this time, he became deeply immersed in the healthcare landscape, specifically supporting NHS England. His career spans both the private and public spheres, having led teams to build software solutions for major retailers like Boots and Tesco, energy providers like UKPN, and a wide array of public bodies including Defra, the Met Police, DWP and Ofsted.

Outside of his work, David serves as the Chair of Governors for a local primary school in Wiltshire that is part of a multi-academy trust.
