Our co-founder, Mike Bracken CBE, is a member of President Macron's Global Tech Thinkers, and has been instrumental in the design of the global AI Action Summit, held at the Elysee Palace in Paris from 10-11 February 2025.

Speaking to the BBC's The World at One programme on 10 February, Mike said that the summit represented "the democratisation of AI".

"For the last three years (Public Digital) has been advising the President and the French about the emergence of AI.

"This summit is a watershed moment in the development of Ai because what we're seeing is a democratisation of AI.

"The most important part (about this summit) is you're getting politicians, civil society, governments and technologists in the same place to hammer out some of these thorny issues.

"It’s about how we target this technology for public good. So far the debate has been about technological breakthroughs but not so much about the delivery of services and the improvement of civil life for people who use this technology".

You can listen the full interview on BBC Radio 4's The World at One, on Monday 10 February 2025, here. (interview begins at around 31 minutes in).
