Data Bites #59
Better outcomes for citizens relies on better use of data. Across government, the public sector, and public purpose organisations, digital teams are transforming how they use data in order to more effectively serve the public.
Data Bites aims to spotlight this work, providing a space for practitioners in and around government - in digital professions and beyond - to explore the successes, learn from the challenges, and realise the impact that innovative uses of data can have on public services.
These monthly hybrid events originated at the Institute for Government and you can watch previous events here.
This event will be an AI special.
There’s been lots of hype in the last few years about what AI can do for us, and particularly for government and the wider public sector. This month's Data Bites will cut through the sales pitches and hear from those thinking about and doing AI in a way that serves the public and public servants.
Speakers include:
- James Ancell, Head of Futures and Foresight, Joint Data and Analysis Centre (Cabinet Office), on making data interactive with micro-applications.
- Simon McLellan, Head of Data Engagement, Met Office.
- Steph Wright, Head of Scottish AI Alliance,
More speakers to be announced soon.
Door open at 5:30 for a 6:00 start.
