Future of Government Awards: Nominations are open
Nominations are now open for this year’s Future of Government Awards. The event champions practitioners, teams and leaders who are transforming people’s lives by applying digital solutions and leveraging technology to reform the public sector for those it serves.
You can sign up to attend the online awards ceremony which will take place on Thursday 15 February 2024. Public Digital is excited to be co-sponsoring it alongside UNDP and AWS Institute.
There’s a particular emphasis on celebrating relatively digitally mature teams who have developed open source creations as well as those who have adapted them and applied them to a different context. Our hope is that the awards will not only raise awareness of what’s possible and what good looks like, but they will encourage discussion, sharing, and ideally further reuse within the global public sector.
Nominate people and teams in 4 award categories
Digital advocates award
Public sector entrepreneurs work tirelessly to improve people’s lives. This award will recognise a small team that has achieved the greatest impact by championing digital transformation.
Nominate a team of digital advocates.
Open source creation
Celebrating the innovators, developers, and leaders who are building their own solutions in government and making them available for others to re-use. This award recognises an open source solution that has been created and has demonstrable potential for reuse by another government in another setting.
Nominate an open source creation.
Open source adaptation
This award recognises the open-source solutions available to governments and will demonstrate the importance of reuse, adaptation, and learning from others. The Selection Committee is looking for the organisation that has most effectively adapted an open source solution, by applying it in a different context or setting.
Nominate an open source adaptation.
Leadership award
Teams can only achieve success and create meaningful difference if they have the space to explore and learn; fail then iterate, and focus on what matters most. This award recognises a leader who has enabled their team, or organisation, to make a real positive change to people’s lives.
Thank you to our Selection Committee
We’re thrilled to welcome a panel of judges from around the world who are highly experienced and respected in the public sector transformation space. They’ll create a shortlist for each category and later decide on a winner.
They’ll also choose the winner of the Lifetime achievement award which recognises someone who has improved the lives of many people, likely over a number of years – someone with a legacy of real and evidenced positive change through digital transformation. This category is not open for nominations.
Nomination deadline: Thursday 14 December.
Best of luck!
