Matt Harrington
Director
Matt helps clients deliver successful digital transformations, from setting top-level strategies to working in teams to build products and deliver services on the ground.
His experience lies in shaping and leading teams within different environments, from small start-ups to government departments. He is also an expert product manager, with experience in the private sector and a particular specialism in digital health technologies. Matt’s other expertise includes leadership coaching and undertaking digital maturity reviews for organisations.
Matt works with a wide range of clients across the private and public sectors. In healthcare, he has worked extensively with a variety of teams across NHS England, as well as the Walton Centre, a neurology and neurosurgery hospital in Liverpool. More broadly, his clients include Transport for Greater Manchester, the Premier League, and the British Columbia civil service.
Matt supported an organisational redesign of the Transformation Directorate of NHS England, where he was instrumental in designing the new organisation, setting up team structures and creating the teams to build large-scale government services.
As a leadership coach, Matt co-designed and leads training programmes for senior leaders in the British Columbia civil service. Through these programmes, Matt helps leaders create an environment where teams are supported and empowered, with the ultimate goal of helping organisations work more effectively and efficiently.
Matt currently leads our engagement with BT Group, where we are working as a specialist partner to their Digital unit on their Next Level Capability project. He is supporting their teams to modernise their ways of working, speed up delivery and improve the way they manage end-to-end demand and capacity.
Prior to joining Public Digital, Matt led product development teams at accuRx, a healthcare start-up now used by 99% of GPs in England, building services and mapping the path to growth.
