Praise Olutuase

Praise is a user-centred and data-driven problem solver who works with clients across government, academia and the private sector.

He employs his strong research, relationship building and innovative thinking skills to discover and break down problems, map out landscapes, and identify points of connection and collaboration, and ensure successful delivery of projects.

Praise currently supports our work in Edo State, Nigeria, where we are working with the Government to establish Nigeria’s first digital and data management agency. Praise is responsible for ensuring that our approach is context-centric, sustainable and stakeholder driven. He also supports the international team to discover impactful digital transformation opportunities and strategic partnerships in other states and countries.

Prior to joining Public Digital, Praise was a strategic adviser in the Nigerian Federal Government on Monitoring and Evaluation, Innovation, Youths and Digital Economy. In this capacity, he supported the development of the Nigerian Start-up Bill and the digital transformation of the Nigerian Export Promotion Council. He led knowledge management of a $100 million post-Covid intervention fund and also spearheaded the piloting on Digital Economy Infrastructure (DEI) in three federal universities, as well as the acquisition of digital skills by Nigerian youths through a partnership with the World Economic Forum. He also supported the development of e-Government Master plans for three Nigerian states.

Praise is a member of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG) Digital Economy Policy Commission. He is a budding UX Researcher and is passionate about using digital trade as an enabler for Africa’s collective prosperity.
