Oli is a delivery leader with experience in digital delivery of complex products and services for government organisations and arm’s length bodies.

He has worked in the national intelligence and cyber defence sector, leading the transformation of a key national data platform which underpins much of the UK’s security and cyber defence capabilities. In this role, he changed the delivery culture from a traditional waterfall model to a customer-centric product model, transforming the outcomes for its users. Oli received an OBE in 2019 in recognition of the impact of that transformation.

Later seconded to the Met Office to support the complex delivery of their investment in a Azure hosted supercomputer, he operated as a critical friend and advisor. In support of the complex change, he conducted a systematic review into the root causes of the challenges the Met Office faced that were blocking their change. As a result, he focussed on coaching the executive and leadership community on outcome centric working and agile approaches. The results included successfully changing the strategy to one focussed on fewer, more measurable outcomes. Increasing focus and reducing concurrent work across the organisation.

At Public Digital, Oli has been supporting CGL to run a rapid review of their Electronic Patient Record system, assessing the technical architecture, data structures, usability and delivery approaches. To help CGL make critical decisions about their future shape and technical direction.
