Gavin Beckett

Gavin is a values-driven senior leader, experienced in introducing digital/user centred ways of working to public sector organisations, building capability and creating and leading teams to deliver change.

Gavin builds trusted relationships, supporting senior leaders in shaping and scaling digital transformation within large, complex organisations. He draws on his experience shaping strategic thinking at board-level, creating whole organisation enterprise architecture models, and leading teams to deliver user centred design and implementation of digital and technology services.

Gavin has over 20 years of experience working in local government and seven years leading product management and development of open digital platforms working with a variety of public and private sector organisations. As Chief Enterprise Architect and then Chief Digital Officer for Bristol City Council, he led the adoption of agile methods and the creation of teams that brought user research, design and digital development to the council’s services. He also steered the council’s strategic approach to digital, data and technology.
