PD Sessions: Town Hall 2030: local government for the digital era
We are excited to kick off Town Hall 2030: local government for the digital era on Tuesday 25th June from 6.30pm - 8pm and hope you’ll be able to join us.
Town Hall 2030 is a project about local, place-based digital public infrastructure. The work aims to engage local government, civic society and place-focused practitioners in developing actionable ideas for influencing wider national policy and practice. By way of background, it takes inspiration from The Radical How by Nesta and Public Digital, bringing a critical place-based lens to the discussion, and will hone in on specific policy and delivery areas such as employment and health.
Theo Blackwell and Andrew Greenway have written about the project in the MJ: read more here.
Please register for a ticket either in-person at Old Sessions House or via Zoom. For those joining us in person, the discussions will be followed by an informal drinks reception.
Hosted by Cate McLaurin (Director, Public Digital), with guest speakers:
- Hamida Ali (Future Governance Forum, former leader of Croydon Council)
- Rachel Coldicutt (Executive Director, Careful Trouble)
- Dave Briggs (digital practitioner)
- other speakers to be announced.
