Matilde Migliorero
Programme Manager
Matilde is a data and sustainable urban development expert who helps cities create purpose-led data services.
She supports cities and city mayors across the US, Canada and Latin America to harness data to meet the needs of citizens in a sustainable and scalable way. As a specialist in data as a service and use of data in local government, Matilde guides urban leaders through complex and unique barriers to create meaningful change in data services. Her input delivers services which shift beyond open data for transparency, creating robust, purpose-led data services which meet the needs of users.
Matilde is instrumental in our work on the Bloomberg Philanthropies City Data Alliance, an initiative which supports Mayors, Chief Data Officers and their teams to improve how they use data to improve outcomes for citizens and communities. Matilde formerly supported the successful completion of the Program for the cities of Scottsdale and Chattanooga in the US, and Guadalajara in Mexico. She now works with Rochester in the US and Maipú in Chile.
Matilde also serves as a Cities Experience Manager on our What Works Cities Certification Sprint sessions, a program which supports cities across the US, Canada and Latin America to secure an official Certification signifying the exceptional use of data by local governments. Matilde uses her data expertise to deliver bespoke 8-week training courses for city staff, steering sessions and providing follow-up support for participants in achieving their certification.
Prior to joining Public Digital, Matilde worked within PwC Milan's Sustainability/ESG team. She was also an Assistant Program Manager at Urban Design London, and a sustainable Urban Development Intern at Cities Forum, where she liaised with cities and local governments to encourage cross-city learning on sustainability topics such as Climate Change and Health & Wellbeing in cities.
