Senior Director, Head of Africa
Abisọla is Public Digital’s Head of Africa, leading and building Public Digital’s work across the continent and supporting governments to deliver impactful outcomes for their citizens through digital.
With a background in software development, Abisọla has a deep understanding of product design and how to deliver agile, high performing services. He has extensive experience in the private and public sectors designing and building digital services that work for everyone.
At Public Digital, Abisọla has led the work - in partnership with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation - to help improve the digital capability within the Edo State Government to enable the delivery of services to its citizens and residents, especially the underserved. This work has involved supporting the creation of a new Digital and Data Agency in the state that will champion and sustain its digital transformation.
As Head of Africa, Abisọla plays an instrumental role in Public Digital’s engagements across the region, including our ongoing work with the Digital Governance Unit of Madagascar to develop their government portal as part of the World Bank supported programme PRODIGY. He also supports our engagement with the Ethiopia Revenue Agency, where we are conducting an in-depth assessment of the Agency’s digital maturity and providing recommendations to further its digital transformation.
Prior to joining Public Digital, Abisọla led teams in the private sector including at KPMG, Accenture and Sky, where he helped build their first TV search application. He was also formerly Chief Product and Technology Officer at the Government Digital Service, where he led the launch of the UK’s new emergency alert system and a digital service for non-technical government employees who need to create online forms.
