Laura is a senior executive director and digital leader. She has experience leading large, frontline welfare organisations and expertise in digital transformation, strategic design and innovation. Laura has a track record of helping organisations connect with their purpose and get closer to the people and communities they work with, leading to step changes in reach, influence and impact.

Laura was recently Deputy Chief Executive at With You, a charity of 1,300 staff and volunteers helping people overcome issues with drugs, alcohol and mental health. She developed and led a new strategy and positioning for the organisation, together with a new brand, service design and digital platform that made it easier for anyone to ask for help.

Previously, Laura was Chief Digital Officer at Citizens Advice. As CDO, she led a multidisciplinary department to build and deliver digital products and services helping millions of people solve problems through accessible, actionable digital content and multi-channel services. She also built new capabilities and cultures within policy research and communications, enabling Citizens Advice to work better together to understand the real problems people face and advocate for change.

Laura’s background is in supporting social innovation, creating and scaling new solutions to public and social problems through her policy work at Nesta and the RSA, and coaching start-ups using technology for social good at Bethnal Green Ventures. She is a Trustee at the Samaritans.
