Davina Sirisena is an expert in sourcing the right people to fill key roles in digital and leadership teams. As the founder of Difference Digital, she works with a number of thriving tech startups to find the people who will really make a difference to their growth.
Davina’s started her 25-year career in technology as a developer, leading a number of technology programmes in the investment banking divisions of Credit Suisse, Royal Bank of Scotland and HSBC before developing a passion for agile ways of working and being appointed as Principal Consultant at Thoughtworks.
She joined the Government Digital Service as its first Agile Coach, where she worked on the launch of GOV.UK, contributed to the GDS Service Design Manual, and coached a number of teams across government to build successful digital services.
More recently, Davina launched and led a successful agile consultancy, Agilesphere, growing it to over one hundred consultants in under five years. This gave her the insight that in order to fully embed and develop the benefits gained from external consultancy, organisations need to establish and grow effective digital and leadership teams of their own.
Difference Digital is unique because all candidates are sourced by people who have worked in technology and digital transformation themselves. Its mission is to help increase diversity in tech by sourcing with diversity in mind, and by contributing time and a percentage of profits to initiatives that seek to increase diversity in tech.
