Annette Sweeney is an experienced leader of people and teams, building culture and advocating fair and inclusive working environments and policies. She built and ran the GDS Academy, building and expanding it out from the Department for Work and Pensions to the Government Digital Service, leading the whole function to provide services to government and across four national sites, training 8000 public servants.
With a background in digital and operational delivery, Annette has moved towards executive digital-era leadership coaching.
Annette worked for the Australian Public Service Commission (APSC), sponsored by the Australian Digital Transformation Agency (DTA). In partnership with ThinkPlace and Adapt2Digital, she developed the Leading Digital Transformation Programme for the Australian Government. Annette is currently coaching Senior Executives with Adapt2Digital, and consulting on capability and digital leadership with ThinkPlace and Academy Xi. She divides her time between the UK, Australia and New Zealand.
